We are please to announce that Pedro Petfoods have again used us to redesign their packaging range, we have taken a step away from the previous packs introducing a strong single colour for each line and also process images of dogs across the packaging. With the exception of the "Gold" line, as the folk at Pedro wanted their character to be the focus on this particular line- now in a strong Gold colour. We also attended the first print run of the new designs to ensure that print quality, colours, design integrity, etc were all as should be. A fun brand, one that we have a fondness to represent once again- thanks to all the staff at Pedro for their continued support.

We do enjoy when a bit of humour and some design get thrown together! Happy Friday! Sydney based designer Natalie Hayter came up with a concept for a street flyer where people can indicate how they were born. Here’s a PDF version that you can download, print out and post around your own town.
Artist Thong Le created a series of minimalist Star Wars space craft posters that include interesting facts about each one- learn something new or just take in the awesome design work!
You can check out the full series on Thong Le's deviantART page. Pretty cool stuff and we think would look really well in any office! We have had a great response and orders already in for the above Bluetooth Keyboard that provides protection as well as a fully functional Bluetooth keyboard for your Ipad. http://www.blackthorndesign.com/blackthorn-laser-engraved.html Hats off to the effects team behind this brilliant piece of print advertising for Bosch. The wood effect is striking for all the right reasons whilst still being able to ensure it doesn't look overdone and ridiculous. The tagline for the campaign, 'unexpectedly powerful', is expertly showcased; the power of the drill has actually spiralled the wall.
We have designed and supplied many Banners, for businesses to promote what they do- and still think that the Teardrop ones illustrated above are hard to beat! For all the following reasons plus more:
Contact us if you would like us to design something to help in getting your brand more exposure. ixxi is the brainchild of Holland-based designers Eric Sloot, Paulien Berendsen and Roel Vaessen, who bring a touch of the Dutch Masters to the home. In collaboration with the Rijkmuseum in Amsterdam, they re-interpret the works of Van Gogh, Vermeer and Rembrandt as wall art, with so much success that they were nominated for the Dutch Design Award in 2009.
Their style has been also used on many well known icons and even everyday objects. We love their stuff, you can visit their site here. You can also commission your own pixel inspired wall hanging- so, time to get creative! www.ixxidesign.com We love the Show Mad Men, and the photographic and graphic style in which it is set and shot. To achieve this authentic look for a promotional poster for the season 6 series, they employed the skills of noted 1960s graphic artist Brian Sanders. Brian had also illustrated key art for Mad Men's sixth season.

Located on the rugged scenic Inishowen peninsula in North Donegal. In 2003 they diversified from sheep farming into worm farming and now are the largest worm farm in Ireland and the UK!
Their unique compost is created when the worms digest organic matter converting it into rich compost with a very fine structure that flows like sand. For this unique product they wanted an organic and Eco friendly feel to the branding and packaging, we worked with the printers to develop the above designs resulting in a truly eye-catching product. www.livinggreen.ie |
