Be sure to keep an eye out in the shops for the redesigned Tayto packaging that we have been involved with over the past few months. As well as changing the design Tayto have selected a heavier film giving the packaging a better feel as well as over all look- we have also strengthened a couple of the colours to really make them jump off the shelf!
It was quite a tough brief to change every element of the actual famous pack but to keep them still very familiar to possibly every single person in N Ireland! AS well as the new packets we have also re illustrated Mr Tayto- giving him a range of emotions and poses. To read and see more about this job please follow this link: Tayto Redesign

Did you know that Blackthorn Design actually designed the first official Usain Bolt website?
After we had done a range of promotional products around the GAA in the lead up to the 2008 All Ireland Final, including downloadable caricature masks of various Tyrone County Footballers, an interactive online game and popular website called takeyourpoints.com, we contacted sporting PR companies across Ireland and the UK with all the statistics on the site plus all the publicity that it had generated. We got a wide range of design work for professional Rugby players, for professional Golfers and then we received a call from a Donegal native, who was based in London and was agent for an up and coming athlete called Usain Bolt. We undertook the job and launched the website! The rest is history! During Usains meteoric rise to fame however it was decided that it would be better for a Jamaican team to manage his web presence, therefore we handed over all web files later that year. Not before we received a few autographed postcards and an actual baseball hat that Usain had worn and had also autographed- (which we later donated this to a local fundraising run as a prize). Blackthorns Claim to fame! The first boxes of Kelloggs clocks arrived this week- words cant describe how exciting it was to see our designs and packaging all come together and be ready to ship to retailers across Ireland and the UK.
I had them for the a business networking event and have to say they were very well received by the visitors to our stand over the evening. Wishing Nigel the very best of luck with these items plus the many other lines that we are continuing to develop for him. To see more of this please follow this link to our portfolio section of the site Kelloggs We have just completed a great range of Porridge Pots for Glen Oats- the brief was to keep a traditional feel but to funk it up with a modern twist!
These have just been launched in Germany and we are looking forward to seeing how they sell. If you want to see more about this brand and more detail on the other aspects of design we completed for this have a look at the portfolio section of our site. Wishing Hayley and the Team great success on this product and looking forward to working together in future. www.GlenOats.com |
